Eligibility Criteria For CLAT

Educational Qualification:

Qualifying Exam Requirements The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam
Minimum Marks Required Minimum marks are required for different categories:  At least 45% marks or its equivalent grade in case for candidates for General/ Other Backward Classes (OBCs)/ PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories.  At least 40% marks or its equivalent grade in case for candidates for Schedule Caste (SC) categories and Schedule Tribe (ST) categories

 

Age Limit

No upper age limit has been prescribed for the candidates appearing for UG Law Programmes.

Notes:

🎓 Students appearing for 10+2 exams in the month of March/April of the coming year are also made eligible to appear for the CLAT exam while they are pursuing Class 12 th . But with the condition that they have to produce their result as evidence of passing the qualifying examination at the time of their admission, failing which they lose their right to admission.

🎓 If more than one candidate secures equal marks in the exam, the tie breaker shall be: i. Higher marks in the section on Legal Aptitude in the CLAT exam; ii. Person having higher age; iii. Computerized draw of lots.
